Sikh Statement on Henry Nowak: 3rd June 2026
Statement From Ramgarhia Sabha MK
Congregation (Sangat) and Management of Ramgarhia Sabha MK are deeply saddened and shocked by the tragic loss of Henry Nowak.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Henry’s family, friends and all those whose lives were touched by him. During this time of unimaginable grief, our thoughts and prayers are with everyone mourning this devastating loss.
In wake of this tragedy, it is more important than ever that we stand together. Moments like these can test the strength of our communities, but we must not allow fear, anger, or suspicion to create division amongst us. Instead, we must support one another with compassion, understanding, and unity.
As Sikhs, we are guided by the eternal principle of Sarbat da Bhala—the sincere desire for the wellbeing, prosperity, and peace of all of mankind, without exception. It is this commitment to humanity that drives us to stand up for peace and reject violence in all its forms.
We explicitly and unreservedly condemn the senseless acts carried out by the individual, Vickrum Digwa. His actions do not represent our community, our faith, or our values we hold dear.
Let there be no ambiguity: there is no justification for taking a human life.
Such an act stands in direct opposition to the principles of humanity, compassion, and faith. We join with others in condemning this horrific act in the strongest possible terms and call for justice of Henry Nowak and his loved ones. Taking a human life goes against every value of humanity and faith. We join together in condemning this act of violence in the strongest possible terms, and we call for swift justice for Henry and his loved ones.
As we mourn this profound loss, let us honour Henry’s memory by rejecting hatred, isolation, and division.
Let us instead choose solidarity, compassion, and a shared commitment to keeping our neighbourhoods safe, peaceful, and united.
Our thoughts, prayers, and unwavering support remain entirely with Henry’s family and all those affected.
In solidarity and peace,
Gurudwara Sahib
