 At the January 2018 meeting the Deputy Leader of Milton Keynes Council, Cllr Hannah O'Neill was in attendance. Hannah's portfolio is community based. She is the Cabinet member for Healthier and Stronger communities.

Public Health – Preventative area. Passed to Local Authorities in 2013.

Areas covered include:

• • Weight Management

  • Smoking Cessation

  • Children 0-19

  • Drug and Alcohol

  • Oral Health (in MK tooth extractions down17%)

  • Sexual Health

  • Health Prevention

    • Health Screening (people from ethnic minorities not coming forward for screening)

    • Pharmacies in deprived areas doing health checks, eg blood pressure.

    • Social prescribing, eg befriending.

Community Safety –
