Council of Faiths Annual Dinner

The Milton Keynes Council of Faiths held their Annual Dinner at the Himalaya Tandoori Restaurant in Bletchley on Monday 24th March, with the Mayor of Milton Keynes, Cllr Brian White, as the guest of honour.

 

Different faith groups were well represented at the Annual Dinner, with Baha’i, Buddhist, various Christian denominations, Hindu, Jewish, both Shi’a and Sunni Muslims and Sikh faiths all represented.

 

Richard Wightman, Chairman said: "We were honoured that the Mayor, Cllr Brian White, was able to honour us with his presence and to engage in discussion with our members."

 

 Cllr Brian White said: "It was a very helpful discussion at the Council of Faiths dinner. Lots of opportunities for MK Council & various groups to take positive steps to help the city develop. Also useful suggestions about how to build relationships with the various political parties and other key organisations."
