Could you be our new co-ordinator?
The Council of Faiths are looking for a new co-ordinator, to begin serving at our Annual Meeting in June 2026. Do you have an interest in supporting faith groups in Milton Keynes? Do you have the administrative skills to support the Council of Faiths in its work? The role carries an allowance, to reflect an expected workload of roughly 1/2 a day per week - but this varies significantly throughout the year with more intense periods around meetings and community events.
Key responsibilities
Setting up meetings, arranging speakers.
Producing and distributing agendas, taking minutes
Producing and advising on a Forward Plan for future Meetings.
Preparing the Annual Report and accounts of the Council of Faiths.
Maintaining the Council of Faiths website.
Paying bills of the Council of Faiths.
Responding to enquiries about the work of the Council of Faiths
Organising a larger civic event, typically in September
Representing the Council of Faiths at community and partner events.
Managing grants process (if agreed) and membership records including length of service.
The ideal co-ordinator will:
be a member of a faith group in Milton Keynes
have good administrative skills to handle the day to day supporting activity.
know how to work with civic groups in Milton Keynes including Milton Keynes Council.
A full handover process from the current incumbent will be provided, and ongoing support from the previous co-ordinator and officer group is assured.
